Quilt School w/Rachel
Want to get started with quilting but not sure how to start? Quilting School will give you an overview of quilt history; styles of quilting (including traditional, improv, modern, and art); color theory; and more! At the end of the class you will have completed a a modern lap quilt with fabrics of your choice. We will use The Cozy Cabin by Modernly Morgan, which is included in the cost of the class!
LEVEL: Advanced beginner – You must know how to thread and use your machine and sew in a straight line. Sewing 101 is our suggested prerequisite.
Age: 16+
Supplies: Quilt pattern and supplies for the first class are included in the cost of the class. All materials needed for the quilt will be purchased during class. Students receive a 15% discount!
Optional Notions: (These tools are great if you have them. The shop will have these available for your use during class)
- Measuring tape
- Pins
- Scissors or rotary cutter
- A fabric marker/chalk
- Seam gauge
- Seam ripper
- Sewing machine if you have one
