Amethyst is a violet variety of quartz. The name comes from the Koine Greek amethystos.
Peridot, sometimes called chrysolite, is a yellowish-green transparent variety of olivine. Peridot is one of the few gemstones that occur in only one colour.
Citrine is the yellow variety of quartz, and its name comes from the Old French word for lemon. Its warm colour is said to be a gift from the sun.
Aquamarine is a pale-blue to light-green variety of beryl. The colour of aquamarine can be changed by heat.
This strand contains 10 of each type of bead and the beads are approximately 8x5mm in size.
