Holiday Hexagon Tree Skirt

This Christmas tree skirt is perfect for the non-traditionalist.  Made with bright, saturated fabrics, it is both modern and whimsical. We especially love the idea of using this beneath a small children’s tree, filled with colored lights, reflective glass ornaments and piles of cheerful presents beneath.

The unique hexagon shape will have everyone asking where you got it.  And as a bonus, this project was designed with 10″ x 10″ squares in mind.  So it is a great project for some of the precuts you might have stashed away.

  • 1  layer cake
  • 1 FQ bundle
  • yardage

 

  • 3/4 yard  fabric for binding and ties
  • 1 1/4  yards 54″ home dec weight backing fabric
  • 1 1/4 yards cotton batting
  • template plastic
